Good day.  Welcome to Meister's Realm.

This realm is for all who enjoy Renaissance, Medieval, Scottish, Irish & Celtic Festivals.  Whether you go to relive chivalrous days of olde, hear relaxing Celtic music, watch trebuchets, experience mud shows or just to get an escape from the hustle & bustle of everyday life, this is the place for you.

This site focuses on the most magnificent events within a 2 day drive of Northeast Oklahoma, as that is the limit I've traveled to visit faires.  I invite you to peruse the albums of faires I’ve visited, read interviews with performers & faire organizers, catch up on the latest blog and check the links to this period’s faires, performers, movies and resources.

My favorite fest is the Texas Renaissance Festival. It's the biggest in the country.  It is located northwest of Houston & runs in October & November.  The weather is great there that time of year.  I went 7 years ago & long to go back. Maybe next year...

My favorite local fest closed its gates for the last time in 2007.  It was the King Arthur Faire in Stroud, OK. It was a very family-friendly event.  KAF was a small faire but was a great place to unwind.  They had great music & a great atmosphere.  I was devastated when I heard it was canceled.  So were several of its participants.  Huzzah to David Timmons who ran a great faire for 7 years.  Godspeed David, on your next venture!
